Chase was very attentive to the firetrucks.
The
Gartlands have traditions like any other family and the Winfield Volunteer
Firemans parade during carnival season is one of them. Chris goes every year reluctantly but this year was kind of fun. This was probably the first real parade for Chase. He loved the fire trucks and the lights. When one truck blew its horn it did make him jump a mile and I am pretty sure his little heart skipped a beat. Mine did! It was really fun watching him when the participants threw out candy. He thought this was funny, but he also thought he had to throw it back to them. Which was even more fun to watch. Unfortunately it started to rain so he did not get to go to the carnival and ride the rides. Maybe next year!
