A year in review

"A year in review.." Our little monkey may have had a bit of a rough start. He came into the world a bit urgently and spent several days in the Special Care Nursery, but he was in good hands. At 9lbs 2 oz. he was the biggest baby in the SCN. With a lot of prayers and attention he was able to get off the oxygen and come home with Mommy and Daddy when he was suppose to...
3 months later he was a happy little guy. He loved the camera and it was a good thing considering his momma takes an awful lot of pictures of him. It is bad enough that the people at Ritz joked that I alone helped them meet their yearly quota. Looking back I averaged about 150 pics per month. Is there a support group for that?????

At 6 months Chase was enjoying the summer. He seemed to like the water and between his Aunt Wendy's and his Grandma's he got plenty of pool time. He slept through fireworks this forth of July, but there is always next year....

At 9 months you can bet his Daddy is grooming him to be the sports fanatic that he is. Like father like son. At least I hope he likes sports because the poor boy spends a lot of time in Ravens, Orioles, and Jeff Gordon clothing...

Today he is one year old. His Grandma and I took him to Sears for portraits. Yes, yes, yes I know... but I am not a professional and it was time. He did great. He hammed it up and was flirting with the girls working there. I am not ashamed (well maybe a little) to admit that I cried like a baby at one point. He was so cute and just looked like a little man. OMG! I am tearing up now. I really am pathetic. The funny thing is, what you don't realize about this picture is that the little monkey ran away while I was trying to change his diaper (as usual) and was standing there half naked. Good thing for him it was a long shirt!!!
To all of our friends and family: Thank you for sharing in this wonderful journey. Chase has truly blessed our lives, and I have enjoyed sharing this blog with all of you. We can not wait to see what the future holds.
